CWP No.18220 of 2015 Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the present petition, the claim of the petitioner is for grant of promotion to the post of Principal, which promotion has already been granted to the petitioner during the pendency of the petition and the only question which remains is whether the petitioner is entitled for promotion w.e.f. the date person junior to him have been promoted, as only a minor punishment was imposed upon the petitioner. Learned counsel further submits that the petitoner intends to approach the respondents by filing appropriate representation claiming the said benefits and the respondents be directed to decide the same in a time bound manner.

Learned State Counsel submits that in case the claim is raised by the petitioner for promotion with retrospective effect, the same will be considered in accordance with law and appropriate order will be passed RENU 2022.10.31 17:30 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

CWP No.18220 of 2015 (O&M) -2within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. If he is found entitled for any such benefit, the same will be allowed to him within a further period of four weeks. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that keeping in view the statement of the learned State Counsel, no further grievance of the petitioner survives in the present petition, the same may be disposed of as having not pressed any further, at this stage, with the liberty as prayed for. Ordered accordingly.
