The petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking a writ of certiorari quashing the advertisement No.PR-70 of 2016, dated 16.12.2016, Annexure P-12. Further, a writ of mandamus has been sought directing the respondents to frame the reservation roster to such posts as advertised in the impugned advertisement from the date of inception of the University, i.e., 1976, as recommended by one of its Committees in its meeting held on 18.5.2017, Annexure P-20.

During pendency of the petition, the exercise to re-frame the reservation roster has been undertaken by the University. Pursuant thereto, the Roster data prepared was sent to the Department of Welfare of Scheduled Caste and Backward Classes for verification/rectification. After the data was verified by the Department, the University has filed an Ashwani Kumar 2023.12.15 14:44 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP No.13734 of 2017 (O & M) -2- 2023:PHHC:160271 affidavit, dated 7.12.2023, through its Registrar that the roster has been checked/verified w.e.f. 9.2.1979, the date of instructions for implementation of reservation policy were issued by the State Government, and that the University will follow the roster points as per the policy.

In view thereof, learned senior counsel contends that the petitioners will have no objection to the petition being disposed of granting them liberty to raise objection, if they have any, against the Roster data now prepared by the University, and the same may be decided expeditiously.

Learned counsel for the University submits that in case any such representation is made by the petitioners, the same shall be duly considered and decided in accordance with law within two months of its submission.

The petition, accordingly, stands disposed of. 6.
