***** RAJAN GUPTA , J. (Oral) Petitioners have prayed for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct the respondents to grant them exemption within the meaning of Section 3 (3) (C) of the Punjab Preservation of Sub Soil Water Act, 2009.

Learned State counsel, at the outset, submits that grievance of the petitioners shall be looked into by the competent authority and a decision shall be taken at the earliest in any case not later than one month. In view of statement made by learned State counsel, no further direction is necessary. Disposed of.

Till the time decision is taken, crops of the petitioners shall not be destroyed.
