***** JASJIT SINGH BEDI, J. (Oral) The petitioner seeks grant of the anticipatory bail under Section 438 Cr.P.C. in a case bearing FIR No.0168 dated 06.08.2021 under Section 221 NDPS Act and Sections 29/61/85 (added later on) registered with Police Station Rama Mandi, District Jalandhar.
The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pursuant to the interim order dated 09.09.2021 passed by this Court, the petitioner has joined the investigation.
The learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Jasbir Singh submits that the petitioner has joined the investigation in terms of the order dated 09.09.2021 and is not required for custodial interrogation. In this view of the matter, interim order dated 09.09.2021 is made absolute.
However, the petitioner shall keep on joining the investigation as and when required to do so and he shall abide by the conditions as envisaged under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.
The petition stands disposed of.
