Apprehending arrest the petitioner has filed this petition under Section 482 of BNSS for grant of anticipatory bail in case bearing FIR No.31 dated 16.04.2025, under Sections 22, 27(A) of NDPS Act (Section 29 of NDPS Act added later on), registered at Police Station Ganie Ke Bangar, Batala, District Gurdaspur.

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia submits that the petitioner has been nominated on the basis of disclosure statement of the coaccused, from whom the alleged recovery of 60 intoxicating tablets was effected. It is a case of false implication and no recovery has been made from him. The petitioner is not involved in any other case and is ready to join investigation and co-operate.

Meanwhile, the petitioner is directed to join the investigation and appear before the investigating agency as and when called upon to do so. In the event of his arrest, he shall be admitted to interim bail on his furnishing bail bonds to the satisfaction of the Arresting/Investigating Officer. The petitioner shall abide by the terms and conditions as envisaged under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C./482(2) of the BNSS, 2023."
