On the last date of hearing, following order was passed by the Coordinate Bench of this Court:- "Counsel for respondent Nos.2 and 3 submits that learned Labour Court had decided total four references and all were answered against four different workmen. Qua four references, one of the workman has expired, and out of the remaining three workmen, one workman namely Jagsir Singh had challenged the award dated 30.10.2014, which has been affirmed by this Court AARTI SHARMA 2025.01.18 15:04 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
(Punjab and Haryana High Court), vide order dated 06.11.2023 passed in the writ petition i.e. CWP-17089-2016. Further submits that the facts in all the cases are verbatim the same, including the dates of events. Copy of the said order is produced by counsel for respondent Nos.2 and 3 and same is taken on record and one set of the order has been handed over to counsel for the petitioner, also.
Counsel for the the petitioner seeks an adjournment to find out the distinction in her cases, if at all, is made out. Adjourned to 17.07.2024 Learned counsel for the petitioner(s) has taken time to seek appropriate instructions.
Today, no one appears on behalf of the petitioner(s). It can be safely presumed that keeping in view the fact that similar award has already been upheld by this Court, the petitioner(s) might not be interested in pursuing the present remedy.
