(Oral) The petitioner seeks a direction for reimbursal of the amount of `3,87,000/- spent by him for taking treatment in the IVY Hospital SuperSpecialty Health Care, Sector 71, Mohali alongwith interest from the date of submission of the medical bills to respondent no. 4. It is the case of the petitioner that he was working as an Electrician in the Haryana Roadways and retired on 30.04.2010. He fell ill in September, 2015 and was admitted in the above said hospital as treatment was not possible at Kurukshetra and he was operated in emergent circumstances. He was discharged on 19.09.2015 and the above said amount was incurred on his treatment. The said hospital is in the list of empaneled private hospitals of the Haryana Government and the bill was submitted to the concerned officials. The amount was got verified on the prescribed proforma submitted with respondent no. 4 for settlement but no payment has been released/reimbursed for reasons best known to the respondents.

CWP No. 17467 of 2016 A legal notice dated 06.06.2016 (Annexure P-4) has already been served upon the respondents seeking the above said amount spent on the medical treatment but no action has been taken on the same. Counsel further submits that he would be satisfied if decision is taken within a fixed time frame.

Keeping in view the fact that the decision making is still to be finalized, this Court is of the opinion that no reply is required from the respondents at this stage.

Accordingly, without commenting on the merits of the case and whether the petitioner is entitled to the complete amount, the present writ petition is disposed of with direction to respondent no. 4 to decide the legal notice dated 06.06.2016 (Annexure P-4) within a period of 1 month from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order. For whatever amount the petitioner is found entitled, the amount be released forthwith. In case of any balance amount, a reasoned order be passed and conveyed to the petitioner. 27.08.2016 (G.S.
