Present petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of directions to the official respondents to take action on notice dated 27.03.2018 (Annexure P1) in respect of reservation of the persons covered under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities act, 2016 (hereinafter referred to as "the Act").

As per learned counsel for the petitioner, the Government of India introduced the Act on 28.12.2016 and the said Act was notified on 19.04.2017. Section 101 of the Act empowers the State Government to make Rules thereunder. The various State Governments including the Union Territories have already implemented the above said Act. But the State of Punjab has not implemented the said Act, despite directions have been given by the Hon'ble Apex Court. Civil Writ Petition No. 12183 of 2018 unattended by the State of Punjab. Learned counsel further contended that at this stage, petitioner would be satisfied if legal notice (Annexure P1) is decided by the State Government.

In view of above, present petition stands disposed of with the direction to respondent No.2 to decide legal notice dated 27.03.2018 (Annexure P1) by passing a speaking order within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
