The grievance of the petitioners is that the due amount of compensation as assessed by this Court in Regular First Appeals decided on 27.01.2016 (lead case RFA No.3367 of 2011, Sadhu Ram vs State of Punjab) is not being released by State of Punjab. The petitioners have approached the Land Acquisition Collector in this regard through representation dated 14.03.2016 (Annexure P-2), but finding no positive response the instant writ petition has been filed. The decision dated 27.01.2016 of this Court in Regular First Appeals is akin to a money decree and the petitioners are entitled to seek its execution in accordance with law.
