Prayer in the present petition filed by the petitioner is that the petitioner was not called for the scrutiny of the documents with regard to the post of Patwari as advertised by advertisement No. 5/2015 dated 10.07.2015 (Annexure P-1).

At the very outset, learned counsel for the respondents submits that the petitioner was claiming his consideration in three categories i.e. (I) General Category, (ii) Ex-servicemen General Category and (iii) Outstanding Sportsmen General Category. Learned counsel for the respondents further submits that as per the reply filed by the respondents-State, the petitioner has secured only 96 marks out of 200 marks in the written examination whereas, the cut-off marks to be called for the interview as mentioned in the reply are 152 marks for outstanding sportsperson general category; 134 marks for the ex-servicemen general category and 162 marks for the general category, hence, the marks secured by the petitioner are much less than the cut-off marks required to be called for interview. 3.
