Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in case bearing FIR No70 and cross-version registered vide DDR No.39 both dated 21.06.2019, accused named in the cross-version have applied for bail but the police has not initiated action against accused named in the FIR. The investigating officer is not proceeding with the investigation of the FIR in a fair manner.

Without expressing any opinion on merits, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.4-Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur to look into the grievance put forth by learned counsel for the petitioner and take appropriate action in accordance with law on receipt of copy of this order.

However, it is made clear that the above order shall not be treated as expression of opinion on merits or on the action taken in the matter by the police in accordance with law.
