The petitioner has approached this Court seeking grant of anticipatory bail in respect of a case registered against him vide FIR No.22 dated 29.01.2020 at Police Station Sadar Patiala, District Patiala, under Sections 302/341/323/427/506/120-B IPC and Section 25 of Arms Act.

At the time of issuance of notice of motion, the following order was passed:

"Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he is nowhere named in the FIR and has been named on the basis of supplementary statement of the complainant recorded after about 10 months of lodging of the FIR. It has further been submitted that two other identically situated coaccused namely Kuldep Singh and Ram Bhagat who were also named in the said supplementary statement have already been granted regular bail by this Court vide orders dated 28.4.2021 and 26.5.2021 (Annexures P-3 and P-4). Notice of motion for 3.2.2022.

Learned State counsel upon instructions from SI Gurpreet Kaur has informed that pursuant to interim directions issued by this Court, the petitioner has since joined investigation and is not required for any custodial interrogation and that he is not even wanted in any other case.

In view of the aforestated position, wherein the petitioner has already joined investigation and he is not required for any custodial interrogation and the fact that two identically situated co-accused had already been granted regular bail by this Court, the petition is accepted and the interim directions issued by this Court vide order dated 09.09.2021 are hereby made absolute subject to the condition that the petitioner shall join investigation as and when called upon to do so and cooperate with the Investigating Officer and shall also abide by the conditions as provided under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C. 03.02.2022 ( GURVINDER SINGH GILL) VY JUDGE Whether speaking/reasoned:
