(ORAL) The relief that has been sought in this writ petition, is for permission to retake the examination of Paper-1 in the morning shift and Paper-2 in the evening shift on on account of the fact that they could not appear at the scheduled time due to heavy rainfall. It is submitted that there were flood like conditions and therefore, the petitioners, who were unable to take the said examination, should be permitted to re-take the same again. A short reply by way of affidavit has been filed on behalf of respondents No.1 and 2 and as per the reply filed, the computer based test conducted for the post of Sub Inspectors (District Armed, Intelligence and Investigation) Cadres held during the period from 17.08.2021 to 24.08.2021 has already been scrapped by issuing a public notice.

The fresh dates for the written examination will be notified separately. Therefore, in view of the fact that examinations which the petitioners could not undertake, stands scrapped, the instant writ petition has been rendered infructuous and dismissed as such.
