By virtue of instant petition preferred under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant & release revised gratuity, revised pension and arrears of revised pension in compliance of order dated 09.05.2017 & 19.06.2017 (P-2 & P-3) passed by the respondents by which he has been promoted as Panchayat Officer w.e.f. 24.06.2008 and is ordered to release all financial/pensionary benefits along with interest @ 12% p.a. 2.
At the very outset of the arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though representation/legal notice dated 19.03.2018 (P-5) was duly served upon the respondents but till date neither any response has been received nor any decision has been taken thereon. He further submits that petitioner feels satisfied in case direction is issued to respondent No.2 to Sonika 2018.05.17 17:57 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

Accordingly, instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Director, Department of Rural Development and Panchayat, Punjab, Sector 62 Mohali to consider the case unfolded by petitioner in representation/legal notice dated 19.03.2018 (P-5) and to decide the same in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.

However, if petitioner still feels aggrieved against any order passed by the aforesaid authority, he shall be at liberty to have recourse to the other remedies available under law as well as to approach this Court.
