**** JAISHREE THAKUR, J. (ORAL) The petitioner herein joined the services as a Home Guard Volunteer in the year 1998 and was recommended for appointment on the post of Constable as far back as 1993. The petitioner has been enrolled as a Constable but given the benefit of regular service only from the year 2011 whereas similarly situated persons who were appointed as Constable have been given the benefit of having worked on the post of Home Guard Volunteer from the date they joined as such. The petitioner is aggrieved and claims parity along with others who had been given that benefit. A representation has already been filed in this regard but the same has yet to be decided.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner prays that the representation should be disposed of expeditiously by passing a speaking order.

CWP-1412-2017 -2I have heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and in view of the limited prayer, I dispose of the petition by giving liberty to the petitioner to move a detailed representation within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. On doing so, the respondents are directed to decide the representation of the petitioner by passing a speaking order, preferably, within a period of three months thereafter. In case, the petitioner is found to be entitled to the necessary relief as sought for, the necessary benefit be granted to him within a period of three months thereafter.

With the above directions, the writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
