CM-6274-CWP-2017 Keeping in view the averments made in the instant application, hearing in the main case is preponed to today. CM stands disposed of.

CWP No. 17699 of 2016 The instant writ petition came to be filed seeking to challenge the impugned order by which it had been decided to stay the benefits that would be given to the petitioner on completion of 14 years of service as a doctor.

During the course of pendency of the instant writ petition, fresh orders came to be passed by Principal Secretary, Govt. of Punjab, Department of Health and Family Welfare on 25.01.2017 to the effect that Dr. Khushbinder Singh, Medical Officer-cum-Sr. Resident (Psychiatry Satyawan 2017.05.02 15:30 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court Chandigarh

CWP No. 17699 of 2016 -2Department), Government Medical College, Amritsar has been granted 14th year placement w.e.f. 19.08.2013 on the terms that if any adverse facts comes into light then case would be considered against. In view of the fact that a decision has been taken to grant 14th year placement to the petitioner with certain conditions, the very instant writ petition has been rendered infructuous. However, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite the orders having been passed as far back on 25.01.2017, necessary relief has not been released so far. Thus, it is directed that any benefit that accrues to the petitioner after having been placed in the scale, the same be released to him within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, on the terms that in case any adverse facts come to light then the department is competent to reconsider the case again.
