(The aforesaid presence is being recorded through video conferencing since the proceedings are being conducted in virtual court) Prayer in this petition is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing the seniority list dated 19.06.2019 (P-9) of the Master cadre to the extent, whereby, the petitioner has been assigned seniority number on the basis of date of joining, whereas, the same is to be fixed as per merit determined by the recruiting authority as per rule 11 of the Punjab State Education Class-III (School Cadre) Service Rules, 1978.
It is further contended that aggrieved against the action of the respondents, the petitioner earlier has sent legal notice dated 03.03.2020 (P-14), but till date no response has been received. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and after perusing the paper-book, but without commenting on merits of the case, instant petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents, to look into the grievances unfolded by the petitioner in legal notice dated 03.03.2020 (P-14) and to decide the same in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
