Prayer in this petition is for a direction to the respondents to afford parity of pay to the petitioners in tune with Agriculture Sub Inspectors working in the department of Soil Conservation and Engineering. It is submitted that petitioners who had retired as Agriculture Sub Inspectors, seek higher pay scales and parity with other similarly situated Agriculture Sub Inspectors working in the department of Soil Conservation and Engineering. Learned counsel submits that petitioners are entitled to benefits in terms of order dated 22.03.2018 passed in CWP22834-2013 and CWP-26508-2013. Learned counsel for the petitioners also refers to order dated 14.09.

2018 passed by Additional Chief Secretary, Punjab Government, Agriculture and Farmer's Welfare Department, pursuant to order dated 22.03.2018 passed in the aforesaid writ petitions. In this respect, legal notice dated 14.08.2020 (Annexure P-5) it is stated, has also been submitted by the petitioners but to no avail. RIYA 2022.08.

  Keeping in view the limited prayer addressed, facts and circumstances of the case but without expressing any opinion on the merits thereof, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority, to decide legal notice dated 14.08.2020 (Annexure P-5) by passing a speaking order, within three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. In case, petitioners are found entitled to any monetary benefits, same be released within two months thereafter.
