IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA

AT CHANDIGARH 107) CRM-M-32129 of 2020 Date of Decision: 12.10.2020 Sant Kirpal Singh

...Petitioner

Versus

State of Punjab

...Respondent

CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE AMOL RATTAN SINGH Present:- Mr. Yashpal Thakur, Advocate, for the petitioner. Amol Rattan Singh, J. (Oral) All the cases listed today have been taken up for hearing by way of video conferencing because of the situation existing due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

By this petition, filed under the provisions of Section 438 of the Cr.P.C, the petitioner seeks the concession of anticipatory bail, upon FIR no.186, dated 01.11.2013 having been registered at Police Station Fatehgarh Sahib, District Fatehgarh Sahib, alleging therein the commission of offences punishable under Sections 323, 324, 201, 148 and 149 of the IPC. The petitioner having actually remained absent on a few dates and thereafter having declared to be a proclaimed offender, I see absolutely no reason to entertain this petition, which is consequently dismissed, without making any comment on the actual merits of the case.

Upon the petitioner surrendering before the trial court and filing an application under the provisions of Section 439 of the Cr.P.C., that would be considered on its own merits very expeditiously, by that court. 12.10.2020 (AMOL RATTAN SINGH) vcgarg JUDGE Whether reasoned/speaking:
