G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) C.M. No. 12517 of 2015 Application for placing on record affidavit of Inder Pal Singh Kanda is allowed, subject to all just exceptions. The same is taken on record.

CWP No. 18732 of 2015 Prayer in the present writ petition is for directing the respondent for correction of date of birth of the petitioner from 12.10.1999 to 02.10.1999 in the secondary school examination certificate (Annexure P6). The said relief is based on the birth certificate issued by the Chief Registrar, Births and Deaths (Annexure P-1) and the certificates issued by the school including the entries made in the passport (Annexure P-5) Counsel submits that a legal notice dated 08.08.2015 (Annexure P-7) has also been served on the respondent for the said relief but no action has been taken on the same.

Keeping in view the limited relief sought and the fact that the legal notice is still pending consideration, this Court does not feel necessary to call upon the respondent to file reply.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to take into consideration the legal notice dated 08.08.2015 (Annexure P-7) and decide the same within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order.
