(Oral) The prayer in the present petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for grant of Regular bail to the petitioner in case Complaint/Crime No.16 dated 29.03.2018 (Annexure P-1) under Sections 08, 15, 18, 29, 60 (Section 23, 25, 27-A added later on) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 registered at Police Station Narcotic Control Bureau Chandigarh, Zonal Unit, Sector-25 (W) Chandigarh.
Learned counsel for the petitioner, at the very outset, submits that he does not wish to produce any defence evidence and the trial be concluded as expeditiously as possible.
In view of the statements made, the Trial Court is directed to conclude the hearing in the trial within 01 month of the next date fixed before it i.e. 16.07.2024.
