**** HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI , J. (ORAL) Counsel for the petitioner states that petitioner was entitled for the family pension after the death of her husband, namely, Sh. Harnek Singh.

As per the averments made in the writ petition, Sh. Harnek Singh retired from service on 30.11.2008 and he unfortunately died on 15.07.2010. After the death, petitioner claimed that she was eligible for the grant of the family pension, but the same was not released to her and ultimately, she had to approach this Court by filing CWP No.27956 of 2018, which was disposed of by this Court for considering the claim of the petitioner for the release of the family pension. CWP-18570-2019 -2direction given by this Court in the abovesaid writ petition, respondents have passed an order dated 15.02.2019 (Annexure P-4), allowing the petitioner the benefit of family pension from the date she became entitled, but the interest on the same was declined on the ground that there was no claim regarding the same and therefore, the grant of interest cannot be considered.

Counsel for the petitioner states that thereafter the petitioner moved a representation for the grant of interest on 20.04.2019 (Annexure P-5), but the said representation is still pending consideration with the respondents and no order has been passed on the claim raised by the petitioner so far and the petitioner will be satisfied, at this stage, in case a time bound direction is issued to the respondents to decide the said representation.

In view of the request made, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the claim being made by the petitioner, the respondents are directed to decide the representation dated 20.04.2019 (Annexure P-5) by passing a speaking order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. Present writ petition stands disposed of.
