Tribhuvan Dahiya, J (Oral) These petitions have been filed against the respondents' decision giving arrears of minimum of the pay scale only to those Extension Lecturers who were petitioners in CWP No.1887 of 2019 titled Kalyan Singh & others vs. State of Haryana & others, decided on 28.11.2023, excluding all

CWP No.14904 of 2024 [7] other similarly placed Extension Lecturers working in the Department. The petitioners herein have sought relief in terms of Kalyan Singh case. 2.

Learned State counsel contends that the claimed relief stands granted to the petitioners, as vide memo dated 26.09.2024, from Principal Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department, it has been decided to extend the benefit to other similarly placed Extension Lecturers also,s including the petitioners. The memorandum reads as under: ...... Now, in view of the above order, it has also been decided by the State Government to grant Minimum of the Pay Scale w.e.f. 01.11.2017 to all the Extension Lecturers and Guest Lecturers working in Government Colleges. The remuneration/ minimum of the pay scale will be amounting to Rs. 57,700/- per month for Eligible Extension Lecturers & Guest Lecturers and Rs. 35,400/- for ineligible Extension Lecturer/Guest Lecturers w.e.f. 01.11.2017, subject to ascertaining that each one of them was allotted full workload at par with that of a regular Assistant Professor during the period from 01.11.2017 to 26.06.2019.

Further, it is made clear that only the arrear amount from 01.11.2017 to 26.06.2019 be paid to the Extension Lecturers and Guest Lecturers by considering only the minimum pay of regular Assistant Professor and further no dearness allowances or any other allowances shall be paid to them.

In view thereof, learned counsel for the petitioners have no objection to the petition being disposed of in terms thereof by directing the respondents to release the due benefit in terms of the memorandum within three months.
