This is a civil writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing the order dated 30.06.2023 (Annexure P-1), whereby the petitioner has been transferred.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is due to retire on 31.08.2023 and he has been transferred from Jagraon to Kila Raipur. The petitioner assails his posting from Jagraon to Kila Raipur in District Ludhiana which is trouble for him.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner at length and have considered the submissions.

The posting in the same district cannot come within the ambit of a transfer. An Officer or an employee posted in different offices in the same district cannot be said to be having difficulties in performing his duty.
