IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT

CHANDIGARH CWP No. 18908 of 2015 Date of decision: 09.092015 Surinder Singh ....Petitioner(s)

Versus

State of Punjab and others

...Respondent(s)

CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE G.S.SANDHAWALIA

Present:

Mr. K.G. Chaudhary, Advocate, for the petitioner.

G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) Counsel restricts his claim for a direction to respondent no. 3 to allot constabulary number to the petitioner from the date when his juniors had been granted.

It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner was given the said constabulary number w.e.f. 16.04.2014 after he had approached this Court. However, various juniors had been allotted the said number much earlier to him. The petitioner has already served a legal notice dated 06.12.2014 (Annexure P-3) upon the respondents. Accordingly, in view of the limited relief sought, this Court does not feel necessary to call upon the respondents to file reply. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no. 3 to take into consideration the legal notice dated 06.12.2014 (Annexure P-3) and decide the same within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order. Needless to say that in case the relief is to be denied, the order should contain reasons. 09.09.2015 (G.S. SANDHAWALIA) shivani JUDGE SHIVANI GUPTA 2015.09.09 15:17 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
