The petitioners through instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India are seeking direction to respondents to grant compensation on account of death of their family member due to electrocution while undergoing apprenticeship. 2.
The petitioners are family members of the deceased-Manish who passed away on 30.09.2025 due to electrocution while working near high-voltage electrical infrastructure. The deceased was working as an apprentice with Bhakra Beas Management Board (for short 'BBMB'). In this regard DDR No. 018 dated 30.09.2025 was registered at Police Station SUDEEPAK KUMAR 2026.05.26 15:27 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
-2Badshahpur. Post-mortem report dated 30.09.2025 details injuries and cause of death. The petitioners served legal notice dated 13.01.2026 and 09.02.2026 upon the respondents seeking compensation but the same has not been addressed till date.

Learned counsel for respondents-BBMB submits that petitioners may be directed to submit requisite documents. The office of BBMB would forward their claim to Labour Commissioner for compensation as per Employees Compensation Act, 1923. 4.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners may be pointed out documents which are required.

In the wake of statement of both sides, the petition stands disposed of.

The respondents-BBMB would point out required documents within 1 week from today and forward petitioners' case within 4 weeks from the date of submission of documents by them.
