Advocate General, Punjab. **** This petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for a direction to the respondentauthorities to consider and decide the petitioner's representation and correct the enrollment form issued by the respondent authorities wherein they have permitted the persons who profess a religion other than Hinduism, Sikhism and Buddhism to obtain the caste certificates contrary to the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950. Learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondentState of Punjab on instructions submits that the State Government has already issued instructions on 15.07.

2019 to the effect that the caste certificates should be issued only to Hindu(s), Sikh(s) and Buddhist(s) and not to the persons professing other religions. He further submits that in case any mistake or action is being taken by any authority contrary to the aforesaid instructions of the State Government or the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950, the authority shall look into the same and take necessary corrective measures. He submits that the representation of the petitioner shall also be considered and decided in accordance with law and if necessary the corrective measures would be taken by the authorities.
