**** HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI , J. (ORAL) The grievance which is being raised in the present petition is that petitioner No.1 retired on 30.06.2018 and petitioner No.2 retired on 31.01.2018 after rendering 41 and 38 years of service respectively, but still the respondents have not released the GPF though the respondents themselves passed the office orders dated 13.08.2018 (Annexures P-1 and P-2) accepting the entitlement of the petitioners for the release of the GPF.
Counsel for the petitioners states that there is no impediment in the release of the General Provident Fund, which cannot be withheld under any circumstances, still without any justification, the GPF for which the petitioners were entitled for after their retirement, is not being released.

CWP-18729-2019 -2has been sought in the present writ petition, petitioners have served the respondents with separate legal notices dated 15.05.2019 (Annexures P-3 and P-4) respectively, which are still pending consideration with the respondents and the petitioners will be satisfied, at this stage, in case a time bound direction is issued to the respondents to decide the said legal notices.
In view of the request made, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the claim being made by the petitioner, the respondents are directed to decide the legal notices dated 15.05.2019 (Annexures P-3 and P-4) by passing a speaking order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. In case after the decision, it is found that the petitioners are entitled for any monetary benefit, the same shall also be released to them within a period of next three months.
Present writ petition stands disposed of.
