+ /    2. Learned counsel would contend that the petitioner, while working as painter, he has suffered a Brain Haemorrhage, making him disabled to the extent of 70% as per certificate dated 29.04.2024, Annexure P-1 and P-2 and is entitled to remain on supernumerary post till the age of superannuation, but instead his salary has been reduced. In this regard, a legal notice dated 03.05.2024, Annexure P-6, has been served upon respondents, which has yet not evoked any response. He thus, at this stage, on instructions, submits that the petitioner is sanguine of it being considered in a positive manner, in case, a direction is given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner by granting him an opportunity of hearing.

In view of the above and without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the legal notice dated 03.05.2024, within a period of 3 months, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to his interest, the same shall contain reasons and the petitioner shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon          !
