JASWANT SINGH, J (ORAL) Petitioner, who was working as Assistant Director Horticulture in the Department of Horticulture, Punjab has invoked the jurisdiction of this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution seeking a writ of Certiorari for quashing the order dated 29.7.2016 passed by respondent No.2 (P.7) whereby his claim for modification in the date of birth has been rejected. After arguing for some time, learned counsel realizing that this Court is not inclined to grant the relief, has sought leave to withdraw the petition with liberty to avail alternative remedy available as per law.
