Present petition has been filed under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, for issuance of directions to respondent Nos. 2 to 7 to conduct free and fair investigation in case bearing FIR No.80 dated 04.03.2022 registered under Sections 420 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, at Police Station City Faridkot.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that in the present case, FIR has been registered on 04.03.2022, but till date, the matter is still lingering on. It is submitted that the petitioner had submitted a representation (Annexure P-7) before the competent authorities, but no concrete action has been taken thereupon till date.

CRM-M-27991-2026 ( 2 ) was filed on 11.04.2020, but the Illaqa Magistrate had again directed to further investigate the matter and the matter has been marked to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Faridkot, for further investigation. He further submitted that investigation shall be concluded expeditiously. 5.

Taking into consideration the submissions made by learned counsel for the parties, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 4 - Senior Superintendent of Police, Faridkot, to conclude the investigation of the present case expeditiously.
