It is averred in the application that during the pendency of the instant writ petition, the demise of respondent No.4 occurred on 17.01.2021, and she is stated to be survived by her sole legal heir/ grandson, namely, Parwinder Singh. Thus, for ensuring the continuation of the lis, the substitution of the legal heir of the deceased respondent No.4 is imperative. Thus, the application is allowed and the sole legal heir of respondent No.4, as detailed in paragraph 2 of the application, is ordered to be substituted in her place in the array of respondents. The amended memo of parties, as appended with the application, is also taken on record.

On the previous date of hearing, i.e. 27.04.2026, this Court had passed the following order:- "Learned counsel for the respondent No.4/workwoman, submits that workwoman was reinstated in view of the exparte order dated 16.05.2016 (Annexure P-10), and now, the only issue which remains for consideration is, as to whether, the respondent No.4/workwoman, is entitled for 50% back wages, or not. This Court proposes that the instant matter can be settled, in case, 50% back wages are reduced to 25%.
Learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as, learned counsel for the respondent No.4/workwoman, seeks an adjournment, to have apposite instructions, in this regard. Asked for request is accepted.
List on 05.05.2026.

In compliance with the hereinabove extracted order, learned counsel appearing for the contesting parties, on instructions, submit that the proposal made by this Court is acceptable to them. 5.
Consequently, the impugned award dated 11.02.2013 passed by the Industrial Tribunal, Patiala, is modified to the extent that the workwoman/respondent No.4 (since deceased and represented by her sole legal heir) shall be entitled to 25% back wages instead of 50%. It is apposite to record that the workwoman had already been reinstated. 6.
