(ORAL) In the present writ petition, the claim raised by the petitioner is that she was entitled for the dual family pension i.e. one family pension in respect of the service which her late husband, namely, Sh. Darbara Singh, rendered with the Indian Army and the second pension in respect of the service which he had rendered with the Punjab Power Corporation. Counsel for the petitioner states that the said claim has been raised on the basis of the instructions dated 17.01.2013 (Annexure P-4) issued by the Government of India.

CWP-18162-2016 -2family pension was allowed, were only adopted by the Government of Punjab, vide letter dated 15.09.2016 and immediately upon adoption of the said by the authorities, the benefit has been extended to the petitioner and all the arrears have also been released to her starting from the date of said adoption by giving dual family pension.

Counsel for the petitioner is not able to dispute the said position and prays that keeping in view the above fact, the present writ petition has been rendered infructuous and the same may be disposed of, as such.
