(ORAL) Prayer in the present criminal writ petition is for issuance of direction to official respondents, especially respondent No.2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of the police officials i.e. respondents No. 3 and 4 as well as private respondent No. 5. Learned counsel for the State submits that challan in the present case has been presented on 12.06.2024. Zimni order dated 12.06.2024 in this respect was produced in Court, which is taken on record. It is submitted that accordingly, the present petition has been rendered infructuous.

CRWP-6605-2023 -2 - presentation of challan; the respondent No.5 is harassing the petitioners and there is a threat to life and liberty of the petitioners. Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from ASI Mohan Chand, submits that the son of both the petitioners is still absconding alongwith daughter of respondent No.5. In view of the facts as noticed above, no further direction is required to be issued in the present matter.

The present petition stands disposed of.
