JASWANT SINGH, J. (ORAL) The petitioner is serving as a Superintendent Grade-I with the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Secretariat, Chandigarh and belongs to the Scheduled Castes category. She is claiming promotion against the reserved point in the roster for the Scheduled Castes category. No doubt the representation for such promotion against the reserved point has been rejected vide impugned order dated 29.01.2018 (Annexure P-11).

At the time of arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner realizing that to sustain a challenge to the order and support her plea for such promotion, certain specific information to be obtained under the RTI Act, would be relevant. Hence counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present writ petition to enable his client to first secure the necessary information and thereafter file a fresh writ petition on the same cause of action.
