Mr. Suresh Kumar Arya, Advocate for the petitioner. JASWANT SINGH, J (ORAL) The petitioner is working as Head Constable with the Indian Reserve Battalion, Punjab Police. He has been proceeded against departmentally for being absent from duty. He has also been suspended vide order dated 08.6.2016 (P.2). At the time of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner while withdrawing all the reliefs has restricted his prayer only for issuance of directions for release of subsistence allowance as admissible under rule 7.2 of Volume I, Part I of the Punjab Civil Services Rules and in the terms of order (P.2). In view of the aforesaid, present petition is dismissed as withdrawn qua all the claims raised except the grant of subsistence allowance. It is directed that in case, the petitioner is appearing at the Headquarters fixed during the suspension period, the admissible subsistence allowance shall be released to him, in accordance with the provisions of Punjab Civil Service Rules.
