RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for issuance of direction to respondents No.2 and 3 to investigate the case properly or any other appropriate order and arrest respondents No.4 to 5 in the interest of justice. It is further prayed to direct the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and his family members from the accused persons and present the status report under Section 173 Cr.P.C. pertaining to the above-mentioned FIR.
It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that FIR was registered by the petitioner, however, no investigation has been conducted in the same till date.

CRM-M-38896-2024 -2and very fairly submits, on instructions from ASI John Peter, that free and fair investigation was conducted in this matter, however, finding no material in the same, cancellation report has been prepared on 04.04.2024 and the same would be filed before the Court of Illaqa Magistrate, City Ludhiana within two weeks.
In view of the above statement made by learned State counsel the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents/State to file the cancellation report before the competent Court, as prepared, within two weeks from today, as submitted before this Court, and the said Court would issue notice to the petitioner/complainant and decide the same expeditiously, in accordance with law.
