On the asking of court, Mr.Vikas Mohan Gupta, Addl.A.G., Punjab accepts notice on behalf of State of Punjab. Only grievance of the petitioner is that he is being harassed by respondent Nos. 2 to 8 at the behest of his brother (respondent No.9 herein). It is alleged that police is interfering in a civil suit between the brothers. Even tractor belonging to the petitioner has been taken away and is retained at the police station.

Under the circumstances, this petition is disposed of with a direction to Sr.Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur to look into the matter and take necessary steps, if circumstances so warrant. (Rajan Gupta) Judge July 13, 2017.
