(Oral) The present petition has been filed for seeking quashing of impugned order dated 10.02.2026 passed in Criminal Appeal No.93 of 2026 dated 10.02.2026 (Complaint No.NACT/964/2023 dated 16.05.2023) vide which the petitioner was directed to deposit the 20% of the compensation amount awarded before the Trial Court within a period of 60 days from the date of passing of the abovesaid order.

After arguing the matter at some length, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner contends that owing to financial hardships of the petitioner, he cannot deposit the aforesaid amount within a period of 60 days as ordered, however, in case he is granted a further period of 02 months from today, he will make the pre-deposit to the extent of 20% as awarded by the Trial Court.

Without going into the merits of the case and taking into consideration the submissions advanced by the counsel for the petitioner, the time to make pre-deposit, as directed by the Additional Sessions Judge, Fazilka, is extended by a period of 02 months commencing from today. 4.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of. 5.
