The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to re-issue passport with correct date of birth.

Ms. Shreyansi Verma, Central Government Counsel, who is present in Court through V.C., at the outset, submits that petitioner was directed to appear before passport authority on 11.06.2024 alongwith requisite documents. She appeared, however, did not submit complete documents, thus, she may be directed to re-appear alongwith complete documents in support of her contention.

Faced with this, Mr. Navinder Jit Singh Dandiwal, Advocate submits that petitioner would appear before passport authority as directed by this Court alongwith requisite documents.

In the wake of statement of both sides, the petition stands disposed of with a direction to petitioner to appear before the passport authority on 10.07.2024 alongwith requisite documents. On doing so, the passport authority would pass an appropriate order within six weeks from 10.07.2024.
