RAJIV SHARMA, J. (ORAL) The petitioner joined as Dark Room Assistant, in the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Punjab on 4.6.1990. He has improved his qualification during the period. He claims that he has been discharging the duties of Radiographer. The attention of this Court has been drawn to the Rules regarding Recruitment and the conditions of Service of the persons appointed to the Punjab Health and Family Welfare Technical (Group-C) Service (Annexure P14). CWP-19655-2019 reads as under: - "Radiographer : - Hundred Percent.
Should have passed the Senior Secondary Part II Examination in Science or its equivalent from a recognised university or institution and Should possess a two years diploma in Radiographer from a recognized university or institution."
Since the post of Radiographer is to be filled up Hundred percent by way of direct recruitment, as such, no direction can be issued to promote the petitioner to the post of Radiographer. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed.
