HARINDER SINGH SIDHU, J Petitioner, who is husband of Priyanka, alleged detenue has filed this petition praying for issuance of directions to respondent Nos.1 to 3 to search for her wife, who is stated to be in illegal custody of respondent Nos.4 & 6. He has sought directions to secure the release of Priyanka from the said respondents.

A reply by way of status report has been filed on behalf of official respondents wherein it is stated that statement of alleged detenue Priyanka was recorded. She stated that she has not been detained by anybody and that her parents and family members i.e respondent Nos.4 to 8 have no objection to her marriage with the petitioner and that she would join his company.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the alleged detenue-wife of petitioner is now residing with the petitioner. In view thereof, present petition has become infructuous and the same is disposed of as such.
