Present Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for directing respondent to decide the appeal dated 16.09.2021 (P-12) in a time bound manner and quashing of order of dismissal of petitioner dated 27.08.2021 (P-11).

It is contended by the counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner's appeal against the order of dismissal passed in a departmental inquiry dated 27.08.2021 is pending with the respondent since 16.09.2021 and the same has not been decided.

Learned counsel for the petitioner limits his prayer at this stage to the extent of praying for directing the respondent to decide his appeal expeditiously.

In terms of Rule 19(3) of the Punjab Civil Service (Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 1970, appeals preferred against punishment orders are MOHIT GOYAL 2023.07.10 15:00 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

The period of one year has elapsed in the present case. 6.
Still, this Court grants an indulgence to the respondent to decide the appeal within 4 months hereinafter.

With the said directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. 8.
It is made clear that the petitioner would be given an opportunity of hearing by the appellate authority and the petitioner may raise all objections relating to the order of dismissal passed by the concerned disciplinary authority.
