Instant petition has been filed under Section 438 of Cr.P.C. seeking grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.18 dated 17.01.2017 registered under Sections 379, 411, 34 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 at Police Station Sector-36, Chandigarh.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was released on bail by the trial Court and he had been regularly appearing before the Court prior to 12.03.2020, when due to his non-appearance, his bail bonds and surety was forfeited and he was summoned to appear through bailable warrants. Counsel submits that the petitioner, who has clean antecedents, is a resident of Himachal Pradesh and due to outbreak of Pandemic, he could not appear before the trial Court and join the SAVITA KADIAN 2021.10.05 16:37 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Court Chandigarh

Petitioner is directed to surrender before the trial Court within a period of two weeks from today. In case, he does so and moves an application for grant of regular bail, the trial Court shall release him on bail while imposing any condition, it deems appropriate to preclude the petitioner from committing any default in future. Petition is disposed of.
