The petitioner has filed this criminal writ petition against State of U.T. Chandigarh and other respondents under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. with the prayer for direction to respondents No.1 to 3 to get released detenue-Varinder Bachan from the illegal clutches of respondents No.4 and 5, who have put the detenue under wrongful confinement by locking in a room etc. Notice of motion was issued. Learned AAP for U.T. Chandigarh as well learned counsel for respondents No.4 and 5 appeared VINEET GULATI 2019.07.18 11:03 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh and contested the petition.

CRWP No.600 of 2019 -2I have heard learned counsel for the parties as well as learned State counsel and have gone through the record. A detailed status report has been filed on behalf of respondent No.1-SSP, U.T. Chandigarh, with which, statements of detenue and others have been annexed.

The statement of the detenue has been recorded in this case, in which he has stated that he teaches music to the children and daily takes three classes and also goes for walk etc.

Keeping in view the statement of the detenue and statements of other persons and also in view of the status report, I am satisfied that detenue has not been illegally detained against his wishes. Therefore, finding no merit in the present petition, the same is dismissed.
