The petitioners pray for grant of pre-arrest bail in a criminal case arising from a criminal complaint under Section 420, 506 and 120-B IPC.

The petitioners' daughter, namely Avneet Kaur was married to Maninder Pal Singh, the son of the complainant. The allegations are that Avneet Kaur, after returning to Canada, did not sponsor or make efforts to help her husband to immigrate to Canada.

Learned counsel for the petitioners contended that no criminal case is made out.

On the other hand, Mr. Bhupender Benipal, Assistant Advocate General, Punjab has stated that as on date, no FIR has been registered and the police is holding only criminal inquiry.

Keeping in view the aforesaid facts and without commenting on merits, the present petition is disposed of with the direction to the DEEPAK KUMAR BHARDWAJ 2020.10.21 17:30 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Criminal Misc. No. M- 33850 of 2020 Investigating Agency to give advance notice of seven days to the petitioners, in the complaint referred to above, if they are required to be arrested in a criminal case.
