Mr. Baljinder Singh, Advocate for the petitioner. JASWANT SINGH, J (ORAL) Petitioner was an aspirant for appointment to the post of Constable advertised in the year 2010 for District Police, Sangrur cadre.
It is claimed that the persons junior to him in merit have been appointed whereas the case of the petitioner was illegally ignored.
It is next submitted that the petitioner has been making representations in this regard for redressal of his grievance. After hearing learned counsel for the petitioner, present petition, which is filed after a gap of six years, being totally devoid of merits is liable to be dismissed with compensatory costs.
At this stage, learned counsel has prayed for withdrawal of the petition.
