Prayer in this writ petition is for setting aside E-auction notice dated 16.05.2025, in respect to State's Cattle Fair, inter alia on the ground that the same has been floated and is being concluded allegedly in a hasty manner within a span of three working days, in order to prevent interested parties from participating in the auction and to give benefits to handpicked individuals/entities.

Learned counsel for State, while referring to notice Annexure P-12, points out that auction of the State's Cattle Fair for the year 2025-26 has admittedly been postponed, thus this writ petition is rendered infructuous.

Learned counsel for petitioner however submits that there exists a real apprehension that authorities shall again proceed in an illegal and arbitrary manner for conducting the auction.

In the given factual matrix, we do not find any ground for continuance of present proceedings. Therefore, writ petition is dismissed as infructuous, at this stage, as it cannot be presumed that further proceedings would be undertaken dehors the provisions of law. Such apprehension on the part of the petitioner is ill-founded.
