Petitioner is serving in the rank of Head Constable and has impugned his their inter-range transfer vide impugned order dated 7.7.2017 (P-1) issued by the office of DGP Punjab.

At the time of hearing counsel for the parties are agreed that the issue of inter range transfer has been decided by a learned Single Judge of this Court vide decision dated 30.7.2018 passed in CWP 14990/2017 titled as Sukhbir Singh and others v State of Punjab and others and connected bunch of petitions whereby in view of provisions of Section 3(1) and (2) of the Punjab Police Act,2007, it has been held that all police officials can be transferred and posted within the State of Punjab since there is no loss of seniority or emoluments.
