Learned State counsel has stated that after having fixed the seniority of the petitioners w.e.f. 15.12.2011, they are in process of considering the case of the petitioners for promotion. 2.

Having noticed that the petitioners' seniority has been assigned w.e.f. 15.02.2011, if persons junior or persons appointed after 15.02.2011 have been already promoted, the case of the petitioners too is made out for consideration for promotion from the same date. Even if the respondents may choose to not to revert the said persons who are promoted earlier, supernumerary posts would be required to be created, if the petitioners are otherwise suitable for promotion. The exercise in this regard shall be conducted by the respondents within a period of 4 months. 3.

The Writ Petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. 4.

All the pending applications in this Writ Petition stand disposed of accordingly.
